Lynn Kay Kennels welcomes our newest litter! We are currently taking deposits for our next litter, expected in late October / early November. Please feel free to call for information on upcoming litters.
We maintain an active waiting list to ensure the best placement for every puppy. Here’s how our current system works:
- Deposit System: A $100 non-refundable deposit secures your place on our waiting list. Deposits are accepted throughout the year and are always honored in the order they were received.
- Active vs. Non-Active Lists: We maintain separate Active and Non-Active folders to better manage our breeding schedule. Customers who pass on puppies two or more times are moved to our Non-Active folder, but they do not lose their original place in line. When you’re ready for a puppy, simply let us know and we’ll move you back to the Active folder.
- Confirmation Deposits: Customers wanting a puppy as soon as possible are now required to place an additional confirmation deposit to secure that placement. This change was made necessary by a high number of last-minute passes that left us scrambling to place puppies in the final weeks before placement.
- Current Wait Time: Approximately 6 months for most puppies. We breed throughout the year based on our active deposit list.
Recent Changes and Important Notes
We have had an unusually high number of passes across multiple recent litters. As a result, we are now breeding shorter so that we do not end up with extra puppies to place. This means we will have fewer puppies available per litter, and some customers may need to wait for a future litter. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
All paid deposits are contacted first when a litter is born. We then follow up with our Non-Active folder and post any remaining puppies to the website if extra placements are needed. Please keep in mind that if you choose to pass on a litter, we cannot guarantee when another puppy will be available, as all customers on the list are contacted in order.
We anticipate that some customers will continue to pass until they are in a better position financially to add a puppy to their family. We completely understand, and your place on our list is always protected.
Puppy Update: We have contacted everyone on our waiting list who has placed a deposit for puppies that are currently ready. Anyone requesting a black and white (Landseer) puppy is still on the waiting list. If you feel you have been missed in our contact process, please reach out to us directly.
